Simple ways to practice magick in your busy life.
As a busy Witch, Pagan, Wiccan or spiritual person, it may be hard to mindfully practice magick daily. As a result, you may feel like you are failing. Let me tell you now, you are certainly not. Not only are we magickal beings by just being human, but we are also automatically and subconsciously practicing magick even if we do not realise it. We are naturally synced with nature, and we only go against our natural urges and needs when we force ourselves to not do that.
If you want to mindfully add some simple magickal practices into your life, read on to find out some very simple activities that will do just this.
Remember: You are still magickal even if you haven't mindfully practiced any of these activities in the day. Each day will look different. Each Witch, Pagan, Wiccan or spiritual person is different.
Write Down Your Dreams
When you first get up in the morning, write down your dreams if you remember them. Your dreams are messages from your spirit team and your subconscious. You can then (if you have time) interpret them intuitively or use a dream interpreting book to help decode the message. Your dreams can aid as a journaling prompt for discovering more about yourself and/or to assist you with healing your relationship with your shadow self. Some of you are quite psychically attuned to the world, and your dreams can be an actual prediction. Recording your dreams and practicing decoding, can strengthen this gift.
Added Magick: Keep crystals under your pillow, or next to or under your bed to enhance sweet dreams or to enhance your psychic abilities. I recommend amethyst, moonstone and labradorite for vivid dreams. Black tourmaline for protection against nightmares.
Moon/Sun Salutations
This can only take five minutes of your day. I do moon salutations before bedtime at night. Moving our body, also moves stagnant energy. It gets our blood flowing, and helps us to connect to the emotions and feelings of our body. This is also a great way to connect with the moon and sun goddess and god.
Added Magick: Practice your salutations under the sun or moon to revitalise your energy. Use rune yoga poses to enhance your intention for the day.
Dance!
Whether it be sporadic dancing throughout the day, or a planned dance session once a day, dancing is amazing for releasing, recharging and revitalising! You may have seen witches in movies or in real life dancing around a fire, in their kitchen, out in the rain, or wherever. This is because it generates positive energy, and it amplifies your intention. Because intention and feeling are the foundation for all manifestations and spells.

Added Magick: Add dance to any spell work to amplify your intention or dance whenever you feel stagnant, depressed, sad, or repressed, to help process and transmute that energy and to bring balance to your emotions. We tend to hold trauma in our hip region (sacral chakra). Do some hip circles, grinds or shakes to help to release it.
Stir Your Intentions Into Your Cup
This is a favourite of mine. When I have my morning coffee or cacao, I grab a crystal that will assist in enhancing my intention (make sure it is cleansed/charged) and then move it above my cup in a clockwise (or anticlockwise for undoing) motion, three times. Then I focus on my intentions as I stir my drink three times, and finish with stirring a pentacle into my drink, before drinking my drink. I try to drink it has mindfully as I can (sometimes difficult in a busy morning).
Added Magick: By adding a crystal to this ritual it will enhance the magick. However, any magick tool of choosing will assist. But just stirring the intention is enough.
Daily Card Pull
Choose from any deck that you love, whether it be tarot, oracle or affirmation. Rather than do a full spread, just pull one card. Cleanse the deck first with selenite, a bell sound, shuffling- however you want to cleanse it. Ask your question that you want to know the answer to or just ask for guidance from your spiritual team. Shuffling until a card falls out or spread cards in front of you and pick one.
Added Magick: Add appropriate crystals, incense and other magickal tools to assist with divination and clearing the energy in your space. Only if you have time.
Daily Affirmations
Each morning I choose at random and display at least one affirmation card from one of my affirmation decks. I repeat it out loud three times, and try to feel it authentically in my body. I place it somewhere that I can see it easily, so that it reminds me of positivity and inspiration daily. Affirmations are a simple yet powerful practice for anyone. Just think of witches when they cast spells. They say their incantation in a confident and powerful manner, so that their feeling matches what they say. Magick is all about intention. When we feel empowered, we feel as if anything can positively happen!
Added Magick: Look at yourself into the mirror as you repeat the affirmation. This will amplify your empowerment. Mirrors act as a reflector of energy, they are a portal for many things. Also, when you see yourself saying these words, your mind takes it more seriously, because often seeing is believing.
Journal (Shadow Work)
To journal, is to know yourself. It is a powerful tool for connecting with your higher self and your spiritual team. Our subconscious has a story to tell us. If we don't know that story, we won't know what is going on with us. We go blindly along in life, blaming the outside world for how we feel. Journaling empowers us to take control of how we feel and our actions. There are many great journals out there that already have questions inside for you to answer. Or you can just follow your stream of thought, write it down and then ask yourself why you are feeling that way. When we stop asking why, is when we stop growing. Just try one question a day.
Added Magick: Sit in a quiet space, close your eyes, take 3 deep breaths, then ask your spiritual team and higher self to be present with you as you journal. Ask them to provide you with the guidance that you need for your highest good and the highest good of others. Listen to your thoughts, and start writing whatever comes up. This is your spirit team giving you downloads of knowledge. Thank them afterwards. Reflect on what you have written.
Have A Salt Bath
I recommend doing this after work or at the end of the day. Salt is used in magick for cleansing and protection. When I can (it usually happens once a week), I love to have a salt bath to properly cleanse my aura and soul of heavy energies that have attached themselves to me. I use epsom salt, but any salt can be used. When my kids have a bath, I add salt to it for the same purpose. Epsom salt also helps to relax them. Children are super aware of their psychic abilities, they need cleansing even more so.
Added Magick: Add this to your moon rituals, and bath before spell casting for purification. Add the other elements for extra soul nourishment such as crystals (earth), candles (fire), and music (air).
Listen To Music
Music is more powerful than people realise. When we listen to sad music, we feel sad. When we listen to happy music, we feel happy. It manipulates our moods. Put on mood enhancing music whenever you can. For example, I put on 'Get dressed for success' by Roxette on in the morning when I want to motivate my boys to get dressed for school. Create playlists for each part of your day or occasion to encourage the mood that you want to be in. I have many playlists that I have created, and many more to come. Check them out here.
Added Magick: Practice divination by asking your spirit team to give you a message through a song. Then hit shuffle on your playlist, or wait for the next song on the radio. Take note of the lyrics. This can be used as a journal prompt as well.
Earth Yourself
When we feel unbalanced or unaligned, it is important to ground/earth ourselves. It is as simple as walking bare foot on the grass, hugging a tree, mindfulness, staring at a candle's flame, listening to the right music, water cleansing etc. All you have to do is choose an element, and connect with it. Use Mother Nature as therapy. She is here to nurture us.
Added Magick: Focus on the new energy in your body starting to flow in from nature, and the stagnant energy leaving your body.
Flow With The Daily Energy
Because we are connected with nature, we are connected to its daily energy. One way to do this is to take notice of what the moon phase it. Each phase of the moon has a different purpose and energy. For example, if you are trying to hustle during a waning moon phase, you may feel a bit forced as your body may naturally want to rest and go inward. Added Magick: When you are familiar with the moon phases, look into the moon's sign, and which house the moon is in for the day. This will give you an idea of what the themes will be for you, and which activities and magick is best suited for the day.
Flow With Your Menstrual Cycle
Our menstrual cycle is connected with the moon phases. For each cycle phase, we feel a different energy. It is important to learn about our cycles so that we can flow rather than force our energy.

Added Magick: Each phase of the cycle is great for different kinds of magick and spells. For example having sex whilst you are on your period (if your partner is up for it), is a powerful way to enhance your manifestation spell. Which leads me to...
Have An Orgasm
Do I really have to explain why this is magickal? Please don't feel ashamed of having one. It is a completely natural thing to experience. It is a form of self love and making love. We can never have too much love in the world. *Only practice this with someone you trust (if you are of age to do so) or practice on your own.
Added Magick: Orgasms are THE best for powerful magick. It is also excellent for your wellbeing. Try adding to your spell work.
Crystal Healing
Crystals have amazing healing power. They are very energetically healing, and each hold a different property depending on its type. I recommend learning about them if you want to incorporate them into your life. They make wonderful companions to assist in protecting and enhancing your energy. I carry a black obsidian with me in my bag to help protect me from heavy energies of other people. I use amethyst for intuition enhancing and calming my nerves.
