My Top 5 Suggestions For Gift Giving: For When You Are Stuck For Ideas
Gift giving can be a headache to some and a joyous and exciting adventure for others (I’m certainly not an excitable person when it comes to buying gifts, though I really like giving them). Either way, it can take up a lot of mental energy trying to figure out what to buy them. Hence why I have created this gift giving guide for you. I have broken it down into five suggestions to help you to decide on what to buy your gift recipient.
Have a Secret Santa (Kris Kringle).
Having a Secret Santa (Kris Kringle), can help to cancel out more than half the amount of gifts that you need to buy. If you have a large family or social circle, why not be that person who suggests to have a Secret Santa. You will usually find that most people will be relieved to have the demand of buying gifts greatly reduced. 2. Ask gift recipients what is on their wish list.
Yes I know that this can lead you to yet another dead end. But it is worth a try. You may get a straight answer of something that is in your budget. Then all you need to do is buy it and put a bow on it. To help you out, download my ‘Gift Receiver Questionnaire Sheet’.
3. Look to their birth chart.
I am a Sidereal Astrologer, so I have studied many birth charts and have seen correlations with people’s charts and who they are. It is clearly very evidential to me. I know not all of you will resonate with this suggestion, but I recommend checking out the suggested gift ideas below for each zodiac sign. See what you think. Free Online Sidereal (Vedic) Birth Chart
Date of Birth
Time of Birth (If you don’t know, leave it blank and the chart will give you an approximate reading).
City of Birth
House System: Placidus (it is the system I find more accurate, however Whole Sign is fine also).
Ayanamsa: Galactic Center Zero Degree Sag (it is what I find more accurate, however Lahiri is fine also).
Then press the button: Calculate Sidereal Chart.
*Please note that the Sun Sign (Star Sign) or chart that you may have grown accustomed to, may be different. The Sidereal Astrology system is based on the most accurate placing of the cosmos at birth, whereas Tropical Astrology (the commercialised one) is an approximate reading. Feel free to do an online Free Tropical Astrology Chart if you resonate more with it. If Tropically you are a Taurus Sun, and Sidereally you are an Aries Sun, but you resonate more with Taurus, it could be that you have a Stellium in Taurus, or a Rising in Taurus, or potentially have Taurus/Venus prominent placements in your chart. It would be worth checking out.
Once you have entered the details into the birth chart generating engine, you should have something that looks like this:
What you need to look at is the Sun, Moon, Rising (ASC), Mercury, Venus and Mars. Write down your findings like this:
Sun: Libra
Moon: Pisces
Rising (ASC): Capricorn
Mercury: Scorpio
Venus: Sagittarius
Mars: Cancer
These are the personal planets and their corresponding zodiac signs (even though the Rising isn’t considered a planet, it does affect the individual’s personality) of the individual. If you are unfamiliar with the symbols of each zodiac, see the below image with how to decipher the symbols.
Once you have written down the personal planets, the rising sign (ASC) and their corresponding zodiac signs, you can now move on to finding out the best gifts for this person using my Astro Gift Guide below:
The Sun Sign
The sun sign is often known as the star sign. It is the core self of a person. It’s job is to bring vitality, confidence and creative inspiration to the individual. It represents the conscious self and how you can lean into your personal power. Gifts based on the sun sign should help to bring the individual more confidence, vitality and creative inspiration.
The Moon Sign
The moon sign is our emotional centre. It is how we process our emotions at a subconscious level. It is would we need to feel loved, secure and nourished in our environments and relationships. The Rising Sign (ASC)
The rising sign (or ascendent) is accurate based on the exact time that you were born. If you don’t know the birth time, then this will not be accurate on the chart. This is how the individual will show up to others in the world. It is the appearance and aura of the individual. It is how the individual dresses and portrays themselves to the world. Gifts based on the rising sign should be based on the appearance of the individual. How they dress, and present themselves.
The Mercury Sign

To delve a little deeper into personalising the gift, check which zodiac sign is in the 2nd house. For example, in the birth chart earlier in this post, Aquarius in the 2nd house. The 2nd house presents values and possessions. Which ever placements are in this house indicates what the individual likes to buy for themselves. This chart has Saturn in the 2nd house, so this indicates that this individual loves to buy items with an Aquarian and Capricorn theme. Potentially they will experience a lot of life lessons around responsibility with finances, possessions and values, due to the Saturn placement in the 2nd house.
4. Buy a gift from Red Bubble.
