my bathroom management system: use my blueprint.
Put your hand up if you love cleaning bathrooms. I am not a fan of cleaning in general, but I do love how it feels once it is completed. I would much rather clean bathrooms than a kitchen. Which do you prefer? I’d love to know. If you are like minded, you probably love a good routine to follow when it comes to cleaning. Being Autistic (and I suspect also ADHD), a Capricorn Sun and an Aries 6th Houser- I love a good list and routine to follow and tackle methodically. I do need it to feel like fun though (Aries 6th Houser) so that I do complete it. Ways that I do this is include:
Listening to an awesome playlist. Download mine from Spotify - My House Work Playlist
A timer to race against the time to. I use my phone’s timer.
A schedule that coincides with the moon signs. Because I love cosmic magick (I am a Cosmic Hearth Witch), and it is sustainable to me to clean each area of the house monthly.
A set list of tasks to follow. Read on to find out!
My Weekly Bathroom Management System
Day of The Week: Thursday (Pisces Energy AKA Water Element = Bathroom) or you can pick a day that suits you best.
Recommended Tools For Completing Checklist:
I recommend the following tools to assist you with completing this checklist:
Bathroom cleaner spray (I use the Earth Choice or Bosistos Bathroom & Shower Cleaner).
Window cleaner (I use Earth’s Choice Window Cleaner).
2 cleaning cloths (one for mirrors and one for the sinks, benches, and bath).
1 clean old towel used for cleaning purposes.
Toilet cleaning solution (Earth Toilet Cleaner).
Toilet brush.
A step (depending on the height of your space).
A motivational playlist. Here is the link to mine- House Work Playlist.
Disinfectant wipes (I use Dettol Muiltipurpose Wipes).
Cleaning gloves.
Vacuum or broom (whichever you prefer).
Mop and bucket with floor cleaning solution (I use hot soapy water with a dash of vinegar).
I recommend using a caddy (pictured) to carry the tools required to the bathroom. Saves time and energy. I got mine from Kmart.
My Weekly Bathroom Management Checklist
Clean mirrors and the outer clear shower doors with window cleaner and a cloth of choice.
Wipe over sinks and benches (please note: some benches may not be compatible with bathroom cleaners) with bathroom cleaner and a cloth of choice.
Rinse sinks and benches with water and wipe dry with a cleaning towel.
Wipe over bath with bathroom cleaner and cloth of choice.
Rinse bath with water and dry with cleaning towel.
Clean inner toilet bowl with toilet cleaner and toilet brush, flush toilet.
Wipe over the rest of the toilet with disinfectant.
Clean inside of shower with bathroom cleaner.
Rinse shower with water, then dry with a towel.
Vacuum or sweep bathroom floors.
Mop bathroom floors.
Wash bathroom towels and mats, and replace with fresh ones.
Check supplies and order or buy what is needed.
Sometimes I won’t get all of these done each week. I try to make sure that the toilets, mirrors, sinks, benches, and the floors are spot cleaned. I also make sure to wash the towels each week. Each day I tidy the bathrooms and empty the bins.
My Monthly Bathroom Management
Day of The Month: Pisces Moon (or Void of Course Moon when the moon leaves Pisces to enter Aries) or you can pick a day that suits you best. Check out my daily stories on my magick Instagram page - @cassieltomesekmagick for the daily energy to see which sign the moon is currently in.

To be honest, I am yet to complete a yearly checklist. I will touch base with you again when I do with the materials that I used.

Throughly clean drains
Throughly clean shower heads
Complete bathroom declutter
Organise bathroom
Work on a bathroom project. E.g. Renovate it if needed or spruce it up (like new towels or new anything that looks drab).
Finishing Touches
To create that added feeling of calm to your bathroom, I recommend adding these personal touches:
A beautiful scented soy candle.
A room spray.
Some greenery- a plant.
I personally love the Al.ive brand trio that includes a hand wash, detergent and surface spray. They look aesthetically pleasing and smell amazing. They are refillable as well. See in my bathroom pictures.
A music (portable) speaker. To listen to your favourite podcast or music.
Body Doubling
I know as a neurodivergent that ‘body doubling’ can assist with feeling motivated to complete ‘boring’ tasks. That is why I have also created a visual follow along with! Check out my routine in action and follow along with me by clicking on my video below.
Things To Note
Your bathroom won’t always be tidy. There are times when it looks like a bomb as hit my bathroom. Especially when we have been sick or busy. Having an efficiently organised space or a blueprint for management can guide you back to calm and order before you know it.
As your needs and lifestyle change, your bathroom will need to change with you. If you begin to resent your bathroom, this is a sign that you need to reassess if the items and systems are still serving you.
Make sure to show your household members the change that you have made to the bathroom. Check in with them and see if the systems that you have in place work for them as well. When you have the household on board with your new system, the upkeep of the system should be easier.
